Independent Stave Company (ISC) Annual Young Distiller Fellowship Award.

ISC in conjunction with the Australian Distillers are pleased to announce the Young Distiller Fellowship Award is now open for nominations from distillers under the age of forty years old.

AWARD INCLUSIONS

All expenses paid trip to Kentucky USA including:

• Tour of ISC Kentucky Cooperage – maker of spirit barrels for many of the great bourbon distillers of the USA
• Tour of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Cooperage – suppliers of quality used bourbon barrels
• Tour of select ISC Distillery clients
• Spirit barrel Oak 101 and tasting with ISC R&D Director – Andrew Wiehebrink
• Accommodation and meals
• Return airfares

(approximate length of trip 1 week, but can be extended should you wish)

HOW TO APPLY

Criteria and applications

First phase: 
All applicants are asked submit their award application, in whatever format they desire, to Australian Distillers by January 24th 2025.

Applicants are asked to provide work experience and employment details and to provide further information on the following:

• why you should be considered for the Fellowship award?
• how do you see the role of oak in spirit maturation?
• how do you see the scholarship benefiting you and your organisation?

Second phase:  
Short-listed candidates to be interviewed by the Selection Committee.
