Membership Application Process - Western Australia

We are excited you are making the first step to join Australian Distillers and WADG as a member. You can complete your membership in just a few steps:

    • Click the join button below and then the relevant membership category.
    • Enter your email
    • Complete all the fields in the form and tick the member declaration
    • Submit
    • An invoice will then be generated, which you can pay via credit card securely online or via EFT
    • Confirmation emails will then be sent once your membership has been paid and confirmed.

Below we also highlight the additional benefits in Western Australia under the reciprocal membership agreement, where you save money by only paying one membership fee.

WADG Membership Benefits

The WA Distillers Guild (WADG) is an association formed to support WA distillers and promote the awareness, purchase and consumption of spirits that have been distilled in Western Australia. Membership is open to all WA Distillers.

Benefits of Membership of WA Distillers Guild

In addition to the Australian Distillers member benefits you also receive the below:

    • Support and collaboration with other WA distillers via WhatsApps groups etc. to get information and assistance, being part of a WA Distilling Community
    • Discounted tickets to the WA Distillers Guild Conference Day in August each year
    • WA Distilled Spirits Awards in August each year with an Awards Night
    • WA Distillers Guild takeover of Fremantle markets in August each year
    • AHA Expo exhibitor stand option at their June conference

A reminder of the categories for your membership.

ESTABLISHING

This is for new members who have begun the distilling journey, are in the process of establishing their business and have sold less than 1,000 bottles.

$300 pa (+gst)

(Non-Voting)

There is a maximum of two years you can be in this category of membership, at that time, you automatically become a small producer, subject to meeting eligibility requirements, even if you have not sold any product, or your membership lapses. You are required to advise the Company once more than 1,000 bottles have entered the home market.

SMALL PRODUCER

Any producer who is an existing voting member of the Association or is in production and the production that enters the home market is below the Alcohol Manufacturers Remission, which is $350,000 at time of establishment.

$850 pa (+gst)

MEDIUM PRODUCER

Any producer who produces volume to exceed the automatic remission at any time in the current financial year or is projected to exceed the automatic remission at any time in the year.

$1,250 pa (+gst)

(Voting)

LARGE PRODUCER

Any commercial producer that exceeds 50,000 LALs of production in any 12-month period.

$2,300 pa (+gst)
