Spirits Victoria Annual Conference
Discovering Your Path to Success

The Victorian Distilling Industry's Past, Future, and Your Place Within.

Join us at the 2023 Spirits Victoria Association Annual Conference, which will bring together industry pioneers, experts and enthusiasts for an afternoon of talks and networking that craft success for our industry.

This year's conference delves into four themes that are driving the industry forward:

  1. The Visitor Economy:
Listen to the team from Visit Victoria and discover how the visitor economy can be a key element in the success of a distillery business. Uncover strategies and best practices to attract tourists, and access grant funding to create captivating visitor experiences.
  2. History of Victorian distilling:
Luke McCarthy will explore the historical journey of the Victorian distilling industry. Prepare to uncover invaluable insights into the traditions and legacies that have shaped the industry in Victoria.
  3. Financial Sustainability:
Navigate the complexities of financial sustainability in the distilling business. Learn about effective cost management, revenue diversification and investment strategies to ensure long-term profitability.
  4. Defining Your Endgame:
Gain clarity of defining your endgame and charting your distillery's future trajectory. Hear thoughts from our industry panel about their wins, challenges and what success looks like for them.

We have seen an overwhelming response to the release last week of tickets for the 2023 Spirits Victoria State Conference. With over two thirds of the tickets sold, you need to be quick to get yours if you haven’t already.

As part of the Victorian Government Funding package that has already seen a number of programs including the Cellar Door and Infrastructure grants delivered, an industry analysis survey is being commissioned to give us better data about the Victorian Spirits industry.

This will be a key resource to help us advocate for future support, target areas that need the greatest attention and develop tools for distillers.

We will have a speaker from Deloitte to provide a brief overview of the current industry and discuss what the industry analysis will involve. This is your chance to provide feedback before the data is collected!
